As with many of the Enchanted Forest's rides, the Super Round Up was a simple "flat ride" designed to be installed quickly and easily in fairs or parks. The ride arrived in early spring of 1974 and was assembled in a small clearing, just large enough for the ride. The trees came right up to the edges of the ride, increasing the excitement for riders as well as keeping the ride somewhat hidden until guests walked up to it.

Like the other flat rides in the park, the Super Round Up was fully assembled long before the rest of the park was anywhere near completion. The ride sat ready for guests to arrive in the middle of the unpaved pathways for months before the July 1st opening day.
