  1. Are you sure that 30 acres for SFGAm is current? Because I can not for the life of me figure out where SFGAm is hiding 30 acres of undeveloped land.
  2. It is interesting that SFGAdv is referring to it as a Premium Pass while SFNE and SFGAm are referring to it as the Gold Pass. You would think the name would be the same throughout the chain.
  3. ^ That's the dimension required for loading. When the ride is at full speed, it will be 98 feet diameter clearance according to the Sky Screamer page on Great Adventure's website. So it is a question of how high the ride is as the rotation speeds up that will determine what trees need to be trimmed or cut down.
  4. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58614 It appears the blue train from GASM is now operating on Ninja at SFOG, still in its GASM colors.
  5. ^ While I haven't heard anything about SFGAdv, I do know that Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Great America will make the lockers optional and have loose item bins on the ride platforms this year. I don't know if this is a corporate thing or if it is a park by park decision.
  6. Great Adventure put new photos up on Facebook. Real vertical construction has started. The track for the station and base of the lift is up. Also, there are a few track peices on site now that appear to have fresh yellow paint since there is no wear visible on the rails.
  7. The General Manager position is redundant and unneccessary. Most of the parks already didn't have GMs. The only two parks I know for sure had GMs were SFMM and SFGAm. All the parks will still have a Park President (which was referred to as Vice President and General Manager before Shapiro). I'm still not sure how I feel about this. The GM position was redundant and should be cut from parks that have it, but at SFGAm, there were some very well qualified and enthusiastic people who were cut completely (and I haven't even heard all of it yet).
  8. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1860...id=424892743512 Structural removal has started. Transfer area = a mangled mess. I'm glad I was able to get to SFGAdv in 2008.

  10. Personally, I think this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Lets take a company that is emerging from bankruptcy and merge it with another company that also has serious financial issues. What could possibly go wrong? Then there is the issue of naming. Is SF dropped from all names, or is SF added to all names. Does SFGAdv become Great Adventure or does CP become Six Flags Cedar Point? Then comes the issue of ride names. Would CF keep licenses this time? Knowing CF, probably not, so we could look forward to Bat-Hawk and The Dark Box and Flying Coaster. And we could also get 3 "ne
  11. ^ Little bit greedy? Don't forget there are still 13 other SF parks. Personally, as a SFGAm local, the only ride I really want from SFKK is the Ferris Wheel. Deluge would be nice as well, but I wouldn't mind it going elsewhere. Also, given that SF leased the land, no one seems to be sure if SF is allowed to take anything that was built before 1998, which applies to most of the flats, and all remaining coasters except Greezed Lightning and Road Runner Express
