It's a shame that that's the case, SF will throw the massive additions where the money is most hot, and sugarcoats it with "Every park is getting something new!". At this point I hope they lose to Cedar Fair.

While flats are good and we could definitely use more, we’ve been blessed with the amount of flats we’ve received over the past few years and it would likely suite us better to add something different for 2020, whether it be a kids expansion, coaster, or just cleaning up the park. That being said, people in this thread seem to be glancing over the fact it was announced that next year’s attraction would be very tall, once again this is a speculation thread and not a fantasy thread.

We're adding a record breaking pendulum next year, I don't know why'd they want to add another flat the year after.

At this point I just want to see something that'll heavily disrupt the enthusiast community.

With how they’re marketing Magic Mountain, I doubt they’re only targeting the GP.

While I understand where you are coming from, I think Six Flags is trying to bring more of a variety in terms of coasters, because if you think about it, we didn’t see any RMC treatment or built from the ground up RMC this year. This could possibly mean Six Flags is open to adding a variety of different coasters.

I don’t understand why you are limiting the coaster to so few possibilities. I personally believe we have the opportunity to get something a whole lot better.

I agree. With the claim being that the ride will be tall, I will personally eat a cockroach if the coaster, if we’re getting one, is over 300ft tall.

Premier Skyrocket 2's aren't common for the Six Flags chain but it'd be a very good addition for that area.

Nitro should stay as is, but I do admit it’d be pretty cool to have one of the only B&M flyers in the chain that isn’t themed to Superman.

While it may be that way in the eyes of the U.S Government, it surely isn’t in the eyes of the general public and coaster enthusiasts.

Looks like I’m done with Six Flags. Magic Mountain isn’t the thrill capital by the way, Cedar Point is. It’ll always be that way.

Magic Mountain doesn't have "growth opportunity", they received a ride for next year that they literally did not need. Considering the park is in the heart of Southern California, I'd offer you to reconsider what you said about over saturated areas. We're talking about an area that competes with Disney, Knott's, CGA, and plenty of waterparks. It has nothing to do with growth opportunity. If it did, considering we're the closest major theme park to NYC, we would have been loaded with new coasters by now.

Because we already have enough attractions targeted towards targeted towards kids. However I feel that the chances of a coaster coming wouldn't be so low if we weren't saturated with low tier coasters (Green Lantern, Joker, ect.) and before everyone gets on my case about not liking Joker, well, X2 was sio good that it literally ruined Free Fly's for me.

New for 2019 - Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth!

I made a pretty long post a few weeks ago talking about how I really wanted a frisbee to come to the park, and seeing that it's not only now a reality but also a record breaker is really nice.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems that most Six Flags parks have gone down the road of doing the same thing over and over for many years, so a custom idea that they have never tried executing before is extremely unlikely.

First time I’m agreeing with you but yes, hopefully. MM and GAm have had their turn and now it’s ours.

It's a shame that the leaks plus the new thread basically killed this one off. It's fun to have a really hot thread the night before announcements, and things like leaks and new threads should really be prevented in future threads. Am I the only one that's really annoyed by the fact that out of every single Six Flags park, ours is the one that always has it's additions leaked right before announcements? Has been happening since 2015.

What we're saying is that we would rather wait a few years for a T-Rex than to get a Raptor. I could honestly care less about what we get next year as long as the park benefits from it one way or another.

We already have one of those rides but it's on steroids (Sky Screamer) so adding it isn't necessary.

I doubt we'll have to wait that long for a coaster. Six Flags doesn't care enough about anniversaries.

Well with MM rumored to get a Mack Dueler next year, either that's wrong or SF is biased chain. Most likely the latter.

Here is my final say on the coaster rumors. It's not happening in 2019. If it was, we would've seen plenty of evidence supporting it already, whether it'd be construction or teasers. If we don't know anything by now, it can safely inferred that the chances of a coaster are incredibly slim. I predict that a big coaster will come to the park in 2020 instead. Predicting something most likely bigger than a Raptor or even a T-Rex.

I wouldn't be surprised if this description was incredibly inaccurate, as SF ended up calling Joker "the most intense attraction in park history" just months leading up to its opening.
