  1. The regular line for Voodoo island was shorter than the express line (I was the only person in the regular line, and there were about 8 people in the express). Waited about 3 minutes in the regular line for Cell Block 6.

Did you go last night? Around 930 the cell block 6 regular line was filled through all the switchbacks. Around 10 the Manor and darkness both had decent regular lines. Big top terror even had several switchbacks full. Voodoo and wasteland didn't have much of a line in either line. Bloodshed had a decent sized regular line that I couldn't tell how far back it went cause it was dark and foggy.

  3. My gf and me decided that we are gonna get the platinum pass and the dining, thanks for the comments and suggestions.

We are going to go to Dorney tomorrow(Saturday) cause we have 1 free day to visit in 2016 but I haven't actually purchased the pass yet. Do they charge a processing fee at the park? Is there any benefit to buying online? If I buy in advance will they charge us for parking? I looked for the answer on Google for these questions and didn't see anything answering them.

Also did you guys upload your photo or take a picture at the park? I figured it might be quicker to upload a picture. How long does processing normally take at the park?

  4. We are taking a crew of 13 over on Friday using all of our bring a friend discounts. I hope all of the coasters are open, I assume it will be packed but would love to get a ride or 2 in and having the full lineup would help.

Last Friday the lines weren't bad at all until around 730 or so. Just try to get there when it opens

  5. Can't blame the park for selling something that people will clearly buy.

I may go next Saturday, mainly for the haunt mazes, any idea how the crowds will be? I haven't been to Dorney since 13 but I'm buying the platinum pass for next year so I get a free visit for this year.

  6. How were crowds? Waits for mazes?

When it first opened till around 7 or so it wasn't bad at all, I walked on El Toro and Zumanjaro and waited 5 mins for Ka and about 10 mins for front row of batman. Everything else after that started to look really long so I didn't bother.

Maze wise I had the express pass and walked on everything. Cell block 6 looked to have the longest regular line.

  7. I did the 2 mazes I didn't do yet today, I thought cell block 6 was awesome, total darkness was rather meh and I was glad I got paired with a decent group at least who didn't guide us into walls lol

I think cell block 6 is my favorite now, with big top terror, voodoo island and blood shed right behind it.

Wasteland is by far the worst one to me.

I also watched dead mans party at night this time and it's so much better in the dark.

  8. What I am saying is I guess, would you guys make a day trip of it? I am coming from Long Island

If you have a season pass and don't mind doing the drive then why not, as long as you don't care about the drive and won't be angry about and have the money for the gas and tolls then why not. Maybe you'll get lucky and the rain won't happen. It seems to avoid the park a lot more then it should.

  9. Mall of America announced that they will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day this year, At last, someone has grown a brain. I hope this is a trend that catches on and Thanksgiving is once again shopping-free.

Agreed! A huge problem is the customers though. If they didn't go shopping on holidays then these places wouldn't even think about being open. Black Fridays are another thing that needs to be stopped.

  10. Hershey charging $10 to ship a season pass coupon book if you renew the pass online, with no option to pick it up at the park or say no to the coupon book (the 2016 book was almost worthless). I know Great Adventure charges an online processing fee but that doesn't seem as bad to me when it's $63.99 for a Gold Pass vs $140 for the Hersheypark season pass.

I've been on the fence about a Hershey Park season pass. I already have the six flags gold pass but I have two trips that I'm planning out next year so I'll be getting the cedar fair platinum pass and a Busch Gardens season pass(I forget what they call the one that let's you into all their parks but that's what I'm getting)

My plan is to go to Busch Gardens Tampa / Orlando SeaWorld and maybe Aquatica. Then make a few trips down to Williamsburg throughout the year so it makes the pass well worth the money.

Cedar fair I plan on going to cedar point, kings island and dominion and Carowinds. Then Dorney I can go to whenever so that's worth it too.

All of that makes it really hard for me to justify the Hershey Park season pass. Especially cause there is no season dining plan pass.

There is a combo deal for a ticket that gets you into 1 Halloween event and 1 Xmas event so I might just do that instead.

  11. Sorry. I meant we currently have the membership for the dining plan. It is listed as the gold plan. Since 2017 is considered the premium plan, I figured that the gold plan would continue on our membership but listed as the premium plan now.

Also, I can't find the coupon for the bottles for 2017. I see 2016, but not 2017.

I'm just going to ask at the park today.

They just changed the name to premium I believe, it's still the same thing.

  12. Me and my brothers waited a few minutes before bloodshed opened, in the regular line, and didn't wait long at all. We actually asked if we could wait for the next group so we could be upfront. Cell Block 6 actually opened a bit later in the night. We got on it at about 9, and it was the best trail of the night (and I actually really didn't like Asylum when they had it, and I was told this was going to be pretty much the same).

This. None of the trails were very scary because we were in the middle or the back of a huge group, so (like you said) everything was spoiled before we actually got to a potentially scary section. I understand they need to have the lines moving, but if it was just me and my brothers, they'd all be so much better. Also, they really only ever jump out at the first person, which is stupid. What they should do, is tell certain actors to jump out at the first person, some actors to jump out at the middle section of the group, and some actors to jump out at the back of the group, and they can alternate between each group if they wanted to.

I agree, when I went through blood shed, big top terror and voodoo island we got paired with 2 other couples and it was perfect.

Wasteland for me was the worst one cause we were in the back and the people leading were basically speed walking so everyone had jumped out already.

  13. No fright fest trails or shows? Yesterday was the first time I went to the park without going on a ride.

I agree about Batman, once is enough for me, I love the ride but it kicks my ass lol

  14.

Maybe it was just Wasteland that was such a mess with the line.

The security guard there did not seem to know what was going on and didn't even take my Free Trail ticket...

Express definitely took longer than the regular line but it might have been his fault. That why they call it Preview Night.

The express line looks worse then it is. I waited maybe 10 mins even though it was to the entrance.

That security guard was a moron though. He was losing his cool simply because people kept asking him which line was express. One lady told him he needed a snickers lol

I do think the express pass lines should be marked better. Blood Manor was the only one I saw that had a sign but I didn't see one for total darkness.
