  1. I enjoyed the park during my visit, after lowering my expectations. (call me crazy) but I personally like their Superman more than our Nitro. Their wooden coasters are a lot of fun, especially since GA has no traditional woodies and I guess I forgot how they rode until I went there to ride them. I went during a Saturday during Fright Fest (the day portion) and there were NO LINES- it was packed but no one was on line for the major coasters- it just felt very strange. I didn't get a chance to ride their batman ride because they were running one train but apparently people actually liked this ride because, while Superman had a station wait, batman had a TWO HOUR wait- it was crazy I completely recommend heading to the back of the park to try out that coaster first.
  2. Most rides I’m okay with sharing- coasters I have no problem, Skyscreamer I have no problem but the big wheel and skyway would be weird to be trapped with people you don’t know
  3. I can actually see Magic Mountain replacing their Tidal Wave
  4. yeah, I don't see people paying for the mirror maze without a special theme
  5. I';m wondering, if we are changing this to DC Universe or something like it, can we expect a new Fright Fest theme instead of Demon District- I like what they did with MM and turning it into suicide squad
  6. also, I don't know if anyone saw this but free in park wifi????? that's pretty cool
  7. Also, it says that Dining Plans are offered at every single park location- I think that's a first- very exciting!!
  8. Glad the park did something that will work for them as well as the environment.
  9. It was a big help getting from El Toro to Kingda Ka- Next we get rid of the paintball building!!!
  10. The reason Full Throttle feels more complete is because of the break and the backwards launch
  11. Honestly, they just need SOMETHING- I never visit Hurricane Harbor because of how long the lines are- the only days the lines aren't terrible are cold days when I don't want to be there either. Like others have said, a water coaster would be great, fantastic ride and has great throughput compared to other slides- Besides the water coaster, there are two other types of water attractions that I love. The first one is something like Water Country USA in Virginia has with Hubba Hubba Highway- for those unfamiliar, it is like a lazy river but instead of tubes, you wear life vests that keep you floating and the water current goes CRAZY FAST- it is probably my favorite water park attraction out there. The other type of water attraction is something that I don't even know how to compare it to. Dorney park used to have a similar one but it is gone and I do not know the name- it is, again, like a lazy river- this time actually on tubes. The difference with this one is its little pools and then there is a water slide when you get to the end of the pool- after that slide you go into another pool that is like a lazy river and then another slide- it is so much fun having slide after slide after slide- Whether these come true or something else, HH NEEDS another attraction.
  12. the only thing that REALLY needs to get done about the Carousel is the last few mirrors that are missing- everything else is a plus
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if the park decided to change movieTown into something like a DC Universe like we see at other parks- I dont think it would be the worst thing in the world because you do have batman, the dark knight, wonder woman, cyborg, and justice league- if they were to do this, I would add the show into the Batman Theater- Do I think at all they are going to? No, not at all. Do I think it would make total sense? Absolutely- Having an alternative to rides will make everyone happy- Even if it was only two shows a day
  14. So, I am assuming, although it is not smart to, that for 2020 the park will be getting a new coaster. If this is true, I think that in 2021 the park should take a year off, maybe do a small flat ride if they feel it be necessary and refurbish the park. Add lights to the big wheel, fix pavement cracks, get rid of pinball building, paint Nitro and Superman, and other necessary improvements. While these investments may not bring in money in the short term, the long term will have lasting effects. People that come to the park will have a better feeling because of the subtle improvements and will want to come back.
  15. We are getting a tad bit excessive- moving a skycoaster hahahahaha PLEASE move the paintball building though it'll actually make me very happy
  16. My university actually had a magician, a hypnosis act, and a mentalist three days in almost a row at the beginning of the semester. I think that the mentalist is actually a really good fit for the park. It is entertaining, the act could vary depending on what the mentalist figures out from the people and it is hysterical and freaky at the same time. A magician like Brad Ross would be cool too but I think Hypnosteria is a little too out there for general viewing audiences and should be reserved for Fright Fest if they ever brought it back.
  17. I would like to see the unused areas of the Safari to be part of a haunted experience or even better yet, a Holiday in the Park light display. This would be an amazing addition to both events and neither would affect the regular Safari Off Road Adventure ride. Here is what I would imagine- Have Safari Off Road Adventure run the way that it does during the day, (adding if I might they start actually going OFF ROAD like you guys said) and then close the ride whenever they do, typically around 4 or 5 on Fright Fest days. Have the route shift to wherever they can use without animals present and reopen when the sun goes down- for Halloween this would be like a Haunted Hayride that the park used to have (many still exist throughout the state) and for Holiday in The Park it would be like the PNC arts center Christmas drive through light show. I understand that it would be difficult to staff but I personally think that it would be a big plus for the park- Hey, a man can dream right?
  18. The Hydration Station is a great idea! As for the bins, it won't happen but I would like to see something like what Dorney has. If you have never been, they have bins on the platform that are designated per train- when that particular train returns to the station, the bins that correspond to the train are opened by an attendant. When the train is leaving, that one is closed so no one else can steal items- no liability for the park, much happier guests.
  19. Looking at the pictures, it seems like they are adding things which is nice, but they are also taking away other things which have been nice. Skull Mountain should still have the lights on it, it looked really cool- if they are not planning on putting them on this week, I will be disappointed. Also, why do they close half of the boardwalk- it looks really tacky to open a section but keep half of it closed
  20. honestly, the statue is really gross haha- there are so many other things for a spanish ride to be themed to.
  21. This is my thing- I could be absolutely wrong but Six Flags typically has a 'get your last rides on ...' before they close a ride for good. This leads me to believe that the rumors are true that we will be getting a replacement simply because they did not announce its closure. As for the other rumor that there will be an RMC there in 2020, while I would love that and it is POSSIBLE, I would truly doubt it.
  22. I am upset that the holiday maze is going to be upcharged
  23. This is my overall Fright Fest 2018 Review. Before I get started, I am being very particular here in order to show was I think can be improved: I want to emphasize that I loved the event this year and want it to continue to grow (that's my way of saying 'please do not get butthurt by any of this) I went to Fright Fest three times, opening weekend, the following weekend, and the second weekend of October As far as I could tell, as expected, the crowds grew as the event went on. I did all of the trails except for the mirror maze because for the first two visits, it was closed and not ready and the third visit the line was over an hour all night long Some of you may have seen my terrible review for Dead Man's Party this year and, while I stand by it being the worst edition of the show that I can remember (for the last 5 years AT LEAST) it was not a horrific show. I think that the pyro was awesome this year compared to years past- the cast seemed to be excellent dancers but I think that this was a management error this year- songs were poorly chosen and the choreography given to the dancers seemed very weak and I think they could have handled more like in years past. Moving on from DMP to the trails Starting with the indoor ones, I will rate them out of 5 stars and a small review The Manor: visited twice: same thing as years past, same props, same music, same 'backstory': not horrible, but for those who have been through it year after year, it is pretty stale: 2/5 stars Fears: Visited 3 times: A MAJOR improvement over Total Darkness. I think it was the same path but you couldn't tell- I think the idea of this was cool and it was well executed: 3.5/5 stars Big Top Terror: Visited 5 Times: This maze is more of a pleasure to look at than a true 'scare': I have noticed that if you go through after the Awakening it is better staffed and is much more fun: 3.5/5 stars Outdoor Mazes Aftermath: Visited 1 time: This felt changed up from last year but I don't know if it actually was: we enjoyed this maze very much but it was only open for our last visit 3.75/5 stars Cell Block 6: Visited 2 times: I used to really like this maze but it feels very corny now: The music was more fun than scary and I just don't get scared much here: 2.5/5 stars Wicked Woods: Visited 1 time: my group's favorite maze (my 2nd favorite): the same path but felt as if there were a lot more scare actors and the sets were awesome- they had a cool fog effect where fog covered your body from stomach down and there were actors hiding in the fog and they jumped up: most memorable scare in my opinion: 4.25/5 stars Hell Fest: My favorite maze this year: same path as bloodshed but after watching the movie trailer, I really appreciated this maze: props to Six Flags and HellFest for coming together to make this excellent Haunt: probably won't return next year as it was to promote a movie, but I wouldn't be upset if they did more of these "from the movie" trails: 4.5/5 stars Moving on to the scare zones: Bloody Fountain: not many props, but there doesn't need to be; this is the center of the park and it works well exactly how it is with the spooky lighting and the amount of actors everywhere Graveyard: Best themed scare zone but very understaffed: if they took 2-5 actors from Bloody Fountain and moved them here, both would feel complete Demon District: the actors here are fun; cool entry portal; the lights should stay green as they have been; purple doesn't really do anything for the effect CarnEvil: I feel like this zone used to be better because of the amount of actors they had; I like that they added those prop buildings but I didn't see them using them Bone Butcher: The most pathetic scare zone ever: There is a maximum of three actors here at any given time; which is sad because there is so much potential: with the area being as well themed as it is, all they have to do is keep what they already have, bring back the entry portal sign, add 3-5 more actors, and spread the zone to end where the Mine Train is because right now it is very small and pathetic Overall Review: I think that the scares improved but, unfortunately, the management failed in some areas. Staffing prevented a few of the haunts to be open until the second half of the event; if you cannot staff an event, get rid of trails altogether and use the extra staff to make the ones you have better. Also, as I mentioned, Dead Man's Party needs to get some better music and choreography- Unleashed was good this year and I enjoyed it so much I watched it 3 times throughout the event. If I were management, I would keep the following mazes: Aftermath, Wicked Woods, Fears, Big Top Terror, and Reflections OTD. The Manor needs an overhaul or theme change and HellFest will probably be removed or rethemed because of the movie being out of theaters. If this review sounds negative, I apologize. I want to emphasize that I LOVE Fright Fest. This is me being knit picky simply because if they solved these problems, there would be happier guests and even more repeat customers throughout the year. Looking forward to Holiday in the Park!
  24. hey guys, so I went to fright fest this past Sunday and I have to say what a great event it was! The Awakening was awesome as always and so was unleashed in the showcase theater. All of the trails that were open were done very well and the scare actors were very good at their jobs. I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain over the Summer and they had a show much like unleashed without the spooky part and I have to say that Unleashed was on par with that show so kudos to them- the thing about it is, its almost literally the same show. I think it was such a brilliant idea! Two or three of the acts were the same act as the one in Magic Mountain with the same person performing it! I just thought it was funny and was pleasantly surprised by it. Here is my one gripe with Fright Fest as a whole. Dead Man's Party. It was by far THE WORST Dead Man's Party there has ever been. My entire family agreed. The performers were FANTASTIC! The special effects were FANTASTIC! (even better than the past two years in my opinion) So what was the problem, you ask? The music. It was horrendous. Dead Man's Party was originally a show with harder music and not as family-friendly. It gave it the difference between a show i would expect in a kids area of the park and the HEADLINE show of Fright Fest. It came off as very pathetic and did not fit the feel of the show from the past few years. I was with a group of almost twenty people ranging from 10 to 70 and everyone agreed that the music pick absolutely killed the show this year. I feel bad for the performers because they were doing their best and honestly performed excellently. I do not say this to offend anyone involved but I was hoping, if enough of you agreed, the park would see this and make changes for next year. Let me know what you think.
  25. Green lantern and apocalypse were closed Ninja and Batman were running one train everything else was running two trains except twisted colossus which was running three and they were racing the ride half the time
