What is the dumbest thing you have ever seen a park guest say or do?

Recommended Posts

People try to sneak beer and even hard liquor into the Magic Kingdom ALL THE TIME. During the day, parents often sneak away to the resorts on the Monorail to get cocktails while the kids are in the park. Which of course makes you realize those are true alcoholics if they can't even go a few hours without a drink.

I laughed reading some of these, thank you for bringing it back to the front page bgr861509. I've never read this post before and when I saw it today I was afraid I would read something I did in front of a member. I guess there is always a chance.

I need to remember this post the next time I see or hear something at GA. It seems like almost every time I go to the park I have an occasion to shake my head in disbelief at something someone said or did.

With that incident a few weeks ago with someone losing part of their fingers from putting their hand in the water, I would have thought people would be hesitant to put their hands in the water. I guess it didn't stop everyone.

Gotta go back a few years for this one (1977)...

A guest who had a bit too much to drink had boarded the "RUNAWAY MINE TRAIN". As the train proceeded around it's circuit, it swings thru a series of humps over the pond before tuning back to re-enter the station area. During the ride the drunk slipped out of the safety bar and attempted to stand a couple of times, failing twice. On this third try, as the train made a sharp "over the top and turn" on it's final appoach, The G-Forces took over and Mr Guest (Charles was his first name) did a fairly good 'one and a half ' looping dive into the mud and crud filled pond surrounding the Fort, and about 25 feet under the suspended rails of the now departed train. He received applause from guests surrounding the Fort while everyone waited for Security and Medical help to get him out of the pond. Other than some bruises and minor cuts his only injury was a broken right forearm.--God does protect fools and drunks !

But wait, there's more...

Part Two-

I had the duty-driver job that day so I drove Charlie up to Freehold Hospital in the G A Ambulance (No Lights or Siren for this trip !!) and an hour later brought him back to the park with his arm wrapped in a double-ace bandage. Management had decided, that since he had sobered up as a result of his experience and had been "sorry" for causing a problem, he would be allowed back in the Park.

I headed for the Best of the West to get some lunch, with Charlie tagging along as he said he was hungry also. As I got to the cashier at the B.O.W., she laughed and said to me, "Hey Al, Did you hear about the crazy S.O.B. who took a dive off the MINE TRAIN this morning?? I swear they're getting weirder everyday"" !! To which I immediately replied, " Hear about it?? Hell, I plucked him out of the Mud, fixed his arm, and now I'm gonna let him buy my lunch !! Say hello to our new High Diver- CHARLIE." " Charlie, This is Sue, She thinks you're a crazy S.O.B, and she is never wrong !! Now pay for lunch and let's eat !!"

I had a similar situation on Batman the Ride. I saw a couple and what had to be their 2 daughters. no more that 4. I think they might have been 3. They got as far as sitting the little girls on the train before a ride attendant had to get them out of their seats to show the parents the girls don't measure up. I was going to say something as they were walking through the queue in front of me but I though maybe the dad would ride then the mom but that wasn't their plan. I'm not sue how they thought it would be safe for those little girls.

Another one, My wife was reading the facebook posts of someone whos said they overheard someone say that KK doesn't will not clear the peak sometimes because the operator didn't give it enough of a nitrous boost at the launch.

Today some kid in my homeroom said for his birthday he wanted to go to "Six Flags" because he had "never been". He went to GA with me last year and I had to explain they are 2 different Parks.

why can't people deposit their chewing gum in the hundreds of garbage cans as opposed to throwing it on the walkway or sticking it to a pole or post??

Maybe parks need to bring back gum targets.

Last visit I rode Bizarro, and afterward it took an unusually long time to enter the station and disembark. For about 5 minutes, some teen girl in the car in front of me starting singing at the top of her lungs, which lasted for close to 5 minutes before I could get off. First I didn't know the song, and second she was a terrible singer. I couldn't wait to get out of there! It was worse than the moron next to me in the line of cars as we waited to get through the booths into the parking lot, who rolled down their windows and cranked their music as loud as they could. Why do people think I want to hear their crappy music??

I was eating at Macho Nacho Express on Sunday, sitting at the bar on the side. The couple next to us was blasting their own music from their phone, which was pretty annoying.

Had that happen to me waiting out a storm in Typhoon Lagoon last fall. Stuck under a cover for one of the lounger areas, and one guy cranked his smartphone up to max with an external speaker that drowned out the much better park soundtrack.

Last Sunday, saw a kid walking across the railings in the queue for the parachute tower.

Last Sunday, as I was driving out of the park in the exit driveway through the woods, some dipcrap was driving the wrong way through the exit driveway and against all the cars leaving the park.

Last Saturday, some guy on bizarro claimed his restraint came loose and was yelling at the ride ops to get fired. Everyone cheered when he was escorted out but the train he was on was sent empty for a while.
