pashacar 58
i believe that was a self-imposed restriction by SF management, but i'm not sure
CHILLERLC1 0
I'm gnawing at my arm: it should be supports on footers installation time.
Justin 0
^same here well the lift hill should be going in soon because it is the first to go in and all of the footets are in!
Justin 0
Coasterfusion updated the GL section of its site. It said that a concrete inspector has visited the park and that they were given the OK to start putting up supports. Obviously tey got this from an outside source because it said they found a guy who worked at the park. Probably false facts. By the way, The Great Adventure Facebook Page has added more Photos of GL

acq10uaz 0
I assume the blue's going to go with the white track also. Won't make much sense but okay?
GAcoaster 372
That blue track is for another park. GL is only supposed to be green with white sections.
Justin 0
I thought there were a few pieces Missing..
GAcoaster 372
Not all the track has come to the park yet (still out for painting and refurb), but (unless plans changed again) there's no blue track planned for GL.
acq10uaz 0
I notice that plans can change very quickly...
DejaVu2001 0
Great Adventure put new photos up on Facebook. Real vertical construction has started. The track for the station and base of the lift is up. Also, there are a few track peices on site now that appear to have fresh yellow paint since there is no wear visible on the rails.
acq10uaz 0
That'd be the Parallax section.
CHILLERLC1 0
Finally!!! Thank goodness vertical construction has finally begun.

What if Green Lantern's track wasn't exclusively green? It would sort of make me yell oh!
acq10uaz 0
When theres a winky face you know its some sort of a crazy hint! I knew this was coming, lol.
Railer 48
Yellow track? I can see the white track for the tunnels if they are going to have fog in them. But yellow? what kind of themeing will go with that?
acq10uaz 0
Parallax! Green Lantern villain in the movie. In the DC Universe yellow = fear, green = honesty, bravery, loyalty. Awesome idea to whoever thought of this. I think the theming will work great on GL. Edited January 12, 2011 by acq10uaz

The Master 148
According to Screamscape, the yellow section is themed to match Green Lantern's villain.

CHILLERLC1 0
Is it just the first corkscrew that will be yellow because I could understand the ride making a quick right after the corkscrew, Green Lantern pulling you away to the next turnaround under a canopy into the depressed 2nd corkscrew. I imagine that being green.
CoasterPrince 0
Are we sure that the yellow pieces are for the corkscrews. They could be for another element judging by the curve of the track. Edited January 13, 2011 by CoasterPrince
