Gr.Adv.Debate #19: Be the first or wait for better

Be the first/Wait for better

  1. 1. Which is better?

    • Receive first-of-its-kind and prototypical rides as soon as they go to market.
      4
    • Wait until the ride models are further developed even if it takes several years.

Being first may get people to the park once, but being better will keep them coming back. This is a lesson I believe Six Flags may never learn.

Definitely wait. The improved ride is most certainly better than the initial publicity with a prototype.

The only examples of highly successful prototypes I can think of are pretty much everything at CP (TTD, MF, MXL200, Maverick) El Toro for sure, and Leviathan. But especially with wingriders, it's better to wait for rides like GateKeeper or X-Flight rather than Raptor.

^ El Toro wasn't a prototype. Both Colossos and Balder came before El Toro did.
