scott 118
Nothing but a guess but A sounds like it would be the right answer. Remote side sounds logical.

Daved Thomson 31
Purely a guess here... Was it called "the reverse end?" Thus, none of the above.

29yrswithaGApass 1,512
QUESTION #424: Around 1980, "Groovers" were first sold at the park and still are today although they are called something different. What is it?
jdc12192 182
First thing that came to mind was a churro?
CoasterKrazy 11
I'm thinking it may be nachos?
Daved Thomson 31
It's definitely Churro's... The Groover lady used to use the right "hot dog" side of Wheelburger (which was actually in a backstage area) to make the Groovers.
29yrswithaGApass 1,512
Wow, you got that one fast jdc12192! Curious Daved, was this something that you often recalled or did this question bring back a forgotten memory? ANSWER: A "Groover" was what we today refer to as a Churro. BONUS QUESTION: How much did a "Groover" cost at the park in 1980?
jdc12192 182
It was a pure guess. I figured a churro has a bunch of grooves. Never heard them called that though.
Daved Thomson 31
Curious Daved, was this something that you often recalled or did this question bring back a forgotten memory? Good question, Harry... I was Assistant Manager at Wheelburger in 1982 and had worked there since the early part of the '81 season. I want to say the Groover woman's first name was Mary, but that may not be correct. I do remember she was not in Food Service, but what was called Carts at the time. She wore the yellow/orange uniform while Food Service wore the Red/Beige uniform. And, she was not included in Wheelburger's labor costs. I can remember sitting and shooting the sh*t with her while taking my 15 minute breaks in the back area of WB.
29yrswithaGApass 1,512
The Grovers were 71 cents (75 cents with NJ tax)!
