Six Flags Additions for 2019

Recommended Posts

It looks like Six Flags New England and Over Texas have both leaked.  I’ll leave the new rides out of my post for people who want to keep it a surprise.  The additions can be found in the Imugur link below.

Update:

Six Flags Great Adventure: Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth (Giant Discovery)

Six Flags Over Texas: Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth (Skywarp)

Six Flags New England: Cyborg (indoor dark ride spinning)
Six Flags Great America: New coaster?
Six Flags Magic Mountain: New coaster

...and that's it I have this information...what other parks will get new rides for 2019?
Too bad Great Adventure got another flat ride, I bet 2020 will be coaster of year for SFGadv, RMC T-Rex!

Yeah, Six Flags really needs to invest in a non public dev environment for their website.  I managed to see what LaRonde, New England, Over Texas, Great Adventure, and Hurricane Harbor Concord are getting already.  I do not plan to post anything here about those rides until after the official announcements.

Six Flags Great America’s new ride has been leaked.  It looks like a great fit for that park.  I’m sure this will be a very popular addition with the community.

Looks like a great year for most parks.

This is why you have to be careful using word filters on a forum:

“The Six Flags brand is synonymous with innovation at the highest level and we are excited to
welcome another record-breaking attraction to an already stellar thrill ride arsenal,” said Park
President I am too stupid to spell Steel Vengeance so I'll just write SteVe and pretend I'm being cool Martindale. “This Texas-sized loop coaster offers an intense, heart-pounding
experience unlike any other ride in the park.”

It is closing, but it's moving and re-opening in a new spot.

I know when I saw they were removing a Zierer Wave Swinger I started getting my hopes up it might come to GA.

Whirligig at Fiesta Texas appears to be staying in the same spot, it's just getting a retheme to Crime Wave in order to fit the new DC Universe area of the park.  I am glad Six Flags isn't removing more of these rides.

Here are a few smaller things some people haven't noticed:

- Great Escape is rebranding Splashwater Kingdom to Hurricane Harbor and removing the Kidzopolis area of the park to make room for the water park expansion.  Crazy Cups will be relocated within the park.

-Six Flags Over Texas is sending Caddo Lake Barge (Zamperla Rockin Tug) to Frontier City and installing the new Larson Giga Loop in it's place.

-Darien Lake will be rebranded Six Flags Darien Lake for 2019

-Wet 'n' Wild Splashtown and Wet 'n' Phoenix will be rebranded as Six Flags Hurricane Harbor parks for 2019

I am always impressed by how cheap Funtime Star Flyers are.

Six Flags Darien Lake LLC is seeking approximately $166,000 in sales tax exemption to build a new $2.150 million ride that is scheduled to open in 2019. Six Flags Darien Lake LLC is one of the largest sales tax revenue generator in Genesee County and one of the region’s most popular tourism destinations.

I would have thought Star Flyers would cost around $5 million. Just over $2 million does seem like a low price.

When I did a video of Great Escape a few months ago, I was thinking either expand Kindsopolis (by relocatting the Skycoaster) or remove it for a family water slide like Sky Splash at Sesame Place or Aquablast at Dorney (which i say is surprising that they don't have such a ride being more of a family park) either around the slides that end near Comet or where their Go-karts are-which could work without removing the bobsled (if desired). For the 2020 and Beyond, I wonder how the water coaster at Fiesta Texas would fit that area too.

Here is a video of the Maxx Force construction site at SFGAm. The gravel path is where the train normally runs and a section of Whizzer track was removed.

I didn't realize it either, I was expecting a ride time more like Full Throttle. Only around 20 seconds from the launch to the brakes. It's good to see more Six Flags coasters having single rider lines.

Even calling that half of a ride is being generous.  :(
One of my two complaints about Goliath at SFGAm was that it was half of a ride. Maxx Force is half of that!

i prefer to take out v2 and yanke clipper, then rebuild logger run to what coney island getting, and put a launch coaster there

Based on interviews with the ride designers, there wasn’t much more that could be done with the spaces given for Maxx Force and Goliath.  Both will be intense short coasters that draw large crowds.  If the rumors are true, I am looking forward to seeing what RMC does with a large budget and layout (American Eagle) in a couple of years.
