29yrswithaGApass 1,156 Report post Posted March 6 Two new rules were mentioned in the 1990 Yearbook introduction. The first involved the Runaway Train which came to an abrupt halt on the tracks after a stuffed toy got wedged in the wheels of the train. I just happen to be there when this occurred and you can see the stopped train below: From then on plush toys and prizes were not allowed on rides and a few weeks later a staircase was added to make emergency exits from the low section of Runaway Train track easier: The other rule involved no single riders allowed in the back rows of a coaster (originally it was no single riders in any row). This was put in place after someone wiggled their way out of their seat on purpose while riding in the last row of Rolling Thunder. He fell out (and survived) and investigators relied on other riders to explain what happened. To lessen the risk of no one seeing what might happen in future incidents a paired riders rule was implemented.
GAcoaster 171 Report post Posted March 6 There was also a rule that riders in the back row of Rolling Thunder had to be 14 or older (for a while). I believe that was so they could serve as witnesses.

Pineracer 26 Report post Posted March 6 Wait, did the park call Freefall a coaster? I seriously thought it was a coaster until I found it under flats, guess it's kinda like the Larson Loops

It was a stretch but not as bad as calling a Larson Loop one!
