When I got the text message from Brian saying, "ZOMG! THEY'RE PAINTING THE PARACHUTE TOWER!" I didn't think it was going to be different colors. lol, and then he sent me the picture. I really like the colors, but I'm wondering why they chose them. hmm hmm.gif

The yellow was primer...for a darker yellow and for orange. biggrin.gif

This is supposed to be the final colors: blue base, red bottom sections, orange middle sections, yellow top:

It's the same color scheme as Dorney's old Traver Swing ride:

And if you think the colors look bright in the photo, it looks even brighter in person! cool.gif

It looks even better now. The primer looked OK, but the finished colors are really nice.

Is it done? And if so, will it reopen for Fright Fest?

One side is done, the other still needs to be painted. They SHOULD have it done in time for Fright Fest on the 3rd as long as the weather doesn't screw things up.

Zomfg. Orange is the main color I've been wanting at Six Flags. There's a reason Cedar Fair parks feel so "comfortable" because they have a lot of colors. Now Gadv is going to be just like that. Thank you Mark Kane for listening to my suggestion.

Did a drive by the park today early thismorning, didnt see anyone out there painting, but it was heavy overcast and low fog early out there, so maybe later in the morning they headed out, the view from prospertown lake you can see the bright colors standing out against the sky

I am glad to see the park is taking time to update the ride, but it has been white forever. It will seem very strange with different colors.

They could be retheaming that part of the boardwalk to a new movie in the Right Stuff Theatre. There are still airplane theaming in some places.

With the tower painted blue, red, orange, and yellow, anyone care to speculate on what color the parachutes themselves will be? It doesn't really go well with red, white, and blue chutes.

I think with the color I would call it "Sundial". I just always thought that name would be good for "Drop Tower" type Ride.
