Gary and Donald,
Do you know whose voice they used for the recorded Safari narration that guests tuned into on their car radios in the early years? I am wondering if it might have been Butch or maybe Warner?
You can hear a segment from last year's recording by clicking HERE.

Do you recall if it was a man's voice or a woman's?

In a newly obtained article, it mentions that during the park's earliest years Great Adventure provided portable cassette players and tapes with a recorded Safari narration for cars that did not have radios! Keep in mind car radios were still "an option" during the early 70s.
I wish I had one of those cassette tapes today. It would make a great piece of memorabilia!
