The First Drop:
SHOCKWAVE: 85 feet

GREEN LANTERN: 144 feet

The First Loop:
SHOCKWAVE: 66 feet

GREEN LANTERN: 122 feet

The Track Length:
SHOCKWAVE: 2300 feet

GREEN LANTERN: 4155 feet

The Number of Inversions:
SHOCKWAVE: 1

GREEN LANTERN: 5

The Speed:
SHOCKWAVE: 50 mph

GREEN LANTERN: 63 mph

Obviously the Green Lantern is more intense.

Looks like the park spent money for flood lighting and covered queues for shockwave, hopefully Green Lantern will get the same. Also Shockwave is a better name than Green Lantern.

Safest bet in the world: that a geek snob will find something wrong with something big in the subject of his/her (mostly his) fixation and grouse about it for the rest of his/her life.

^^ It was an INTAMIN coaster that was designed by the founders of B&M when they were still with the company.

It did have alot of B&M features except for being smooth. When I rode Shockwave at SFAW it was pretty rough.

Similarities

- Both came from Other Six Flags Properties
- Both are Names that are/have been used on other Six Flags Coasters
- B&M Had Involvement in Both Projects
- Both Replacing Previous GAdv Attractions
- Both are being Repainted for SFGAdv (I'm Guessing for Green Lantern)
- Both have Box Track

Another difference:
- I regretfully did not ride Shockwave
- I will definitely ride Green Lantern

Great comparison... I have always been a little fascinated with Shockwave since I foolishly decided to pass on it back in the day. It's pretty neat seeing them side by side like that. Smaller or not though, part of me still wants to give Shockwave a whirl! I'm still hoping to make it up to La Ronde to ride Cobra, the closest thing left to Shockwave.
