That was the same for Autobahn, and most bumper car rides require 54" driver and 48" min for passengers.

Those same height requirements were also in effect when the park had Traffic Jam and the original Fender Benders (Skooter Cars).

I believe Morey's adult bumpers have a 52" minimum.

Hershey also has the same 48" passenger, 54" to drive requirement.

Oops. My fault... but it does seem a bit high, doesn't it? Well, at least the SkyScreamer is only 44 inches. And this Jersey Boys thing seems kind of interesting.

To keep this topic up to date, here are some tidbits from today regarding Adventure Alley:

- Lights are currently installed on the riser structure (red/blue arms) and in the globe letters atop SkyScreamer. The LED lights up and down the tower will be added over the next few weeks and be installed around the time the park is open during after-dark hours.
- SkyScreamer has four different ride cycles and it is quite possible that it will utilize all four randomly.
- DejaVu is a totally new Scrambler to Great Adventure (it is not our model back from Six Flags Over Georgia) and it was manufactured in 1969 - a true vintage amusement ride that kicks its younger siblings butts!
- Fender Benders will open in June. The ride will be intalled with its larger side parallel to the Sky Ride cables so that it offers a better view from Granny's.

Wow! This is really exciting! Can't wait to check it out. Just out of curiosity, how long would you say it stays at the top?

It depends which cycle the ride is on but I would say none of them are at the top for more than 30 seconds. On one of them you go up, come down and then go back up. On another you get to the top and spin and then spin much faster!

Hey everyone,

Please check-out my Sky Screamer media event coverage HERE.  There are nearly 50 pictures from the event and on the ride itself.  The turn-out was fabulous, and I got to ride with friends from the forums, including Harry Applegate (this site) & Josh (gadv.com) -  Very COOL !!!

Enjoy ;)

P.S. My video is now posted on YouTube and is embedded within my BLOG above...

Rode SkyScreamer for the first time today and it was amazing! They did have a technical difficulty while I waited in line which resulted in riders being stuck at the top for about five minutes, but these type of things I guess are to be expected since it just opened.

DejaVu and Air Jumbo were testing this afternoon and open a few hours before the park closed.

Wow! This is really exciting! In the few short years I've spent as a season pass holder (since 2009), the park has come such a long way!! I'm so happy for GADV, and can't wait to see what's next.

I rode the Sky Screamer yesterday. It was great! It's the perfect family ride, but still was a ton of fun. Can't wait to ride again!

48 coasters and counting!

A word of advice - don't lean forwad and look down between your feet when you are spinning at the top! It adds a whole new level of excitement! :Juggle:
