So the new bumper cars are actually new and not autobahn? Smart move on the park for investing in a new more reliable ride!

Looks more like a quadruple version of the Flying Wave with that height. Curious how they'll have that operate since it's near the Skyride arch, etc. At least GA is taking a step in the right direction bringing back some flats.

I'm really happy for the park! Whenever I walk(ed) through Fantasy Forest, I think(thought) about how much wasted space there was. Now, basically all of the space (at least on this side of the park) will be filled and Fantasy Forest will once again be a happenin' section of the park! I just hope all of the rides are lit up like SkyScreamer was described as being. I also hope they add some new whimsical theming and maybe even a custom soundtrack for this area of the park. And I hope they continue to add flats next year, and maybe make a finer distinction between Fantasy Forest and Lakefront.

Shows are something they really don't nail down until January/February usually so anything is possible.

If I was marketing the 2012 season I would try to market a new show package along with it. I figure with four new rides they could then add eight new shows for 12 in 12. Not that it would have to be 12 new shows, some could be revamps and returns and they could bill new attractions in Safari Discoveries as part of those new attractions.

It's a nice thought, but not happening. Please keep discussion in this thread to what IS coming not on what you would like to see.

hit the park tonight, i was looking at future sites of new rides, looks like for sky screamer, there is a chance that some of the trees surrounding the flying wave pad are in jeporady of being removed for the flight path of the ride... yellow circles are the trees...

^ It may not be that bad. The Flying Wave required a 69 foot clearance which I think is more than what is needed for the Skyscreamer.

maybe they could keep the trees there and do what Knotts does with Windseeker and set the program so that it doesn't spin until it passes a certain height

The trees surrounding the pad invokes memories of enterprise/spin miester trees not always being trimmed perfectly and the fear of branches coming into your ride pod. Then again maybe that was part of the excitement lol. :Hairraising:

^ That's the dimension required for loading. When the ride is at full speed, it will be 98 feet diameter clearance according to the Sky Screamer page on Great Adventure's website. So it is a question of how high the ride is as the rotation speeds up that will determine what trees need to be trimmed or cut down.

Wow I just rode that thing up there a few weeks ago, it was super popular/always had a line(I went for a few days). Would be a shame for that park to lose it's scrambler. But hey i guess we have to get a scrambler from somewhere. Albeit I would have liked it to be our old one. Do they still make scramblers? Or are all just older reused models?

I know exactly where Fantasty Forest and Lakefront seperates, as well as most of the people on this site. Probably 90% of the general public think Fantasty Forest and Lakefront are one big un-themed section. Having a section devider will help a lot.
