Looking forward we offered two new categories. Best Opportunity for Reopening/Redevelopment was awarded to having the now closed Old Country area reintroduced into the park. It was elected by 35% of our voters. Our second most popular request was that the Batman Stunt Arena reopens (22%) and the reintroduction of a new Super Teepee was selected for third place with 19% of the voters.
The other topic for the future was what voters would Most Like to See in 2013. The top requests for new capital were a Drop Tower (26%), new Thrill-Type Flat Rides (17%), and a new Dark Ride (13%). Various types of roller coasters all ranked lower than these three selections.
Well, those are the results of our 5th Annual 2011 Warner Awards as voted by our members at GreatAdventureHistory.com. As always, we applaud this year's winners but would like to take a moment to reflect back on the attractions we lost this past season. (Click the placard below)
Thanks again to everyone for voting and making your opinions known. Until next year's ballots, make it a Great Adventure!

in the Best New Feature or Improvement category:
We would like to acknowledge the refurbishment and repainting of
Great Adventure's classic Skyride cars. Through the sponsorship
of M&M's, the skies over the park were once again filled with the
colors of the rainbow with our newly restylized gondolas!

As far as voting, I still think Dark Knight is better themed, but Houdini is good. Most of the other votes were what I expected. Every vote counts. I noticed that the Seaport won by one vote against the National Park, I voted for the Seaport.
