Former employee - worked in ride ops for many years.  I eventually worked every single ride in the park from 1981 up until 1986, then worked in Security.  Main "home" rides were:  Loop II, Bumber I, Mine Train, Parachuter's Perch...  In 93, I worked in Finance for a summer.

Met a great bunch of people over the years - but really miss the "old" GA... Today the park is just like every other SF park... I would love to see the park return to it's original themed concepts along with some new updates, and return the park to it's old glory.  It made money back then, it's not making money now... What's changed?  Overbloated corporate management, and their salaries.  Seems like the park was much more successful with less overhead and more localized management.  

Return to making "specialty" food via restaurants on the premises instead of relying on chain establishments.  Why have Pappa John's, Jonny Rockets etc., at a theme park?!?  I can get that junk anywhere at a more reasonable price....  Give park-go'ers something different & unique for their $100 for a family of 4's lunch!  Remember when the "Best of the West" actually served decent food?  Today, you get a Tyson's processed chicken patty and processed rib meat... really???  

Give me 3 years as GM ... without any management involvement from corporate... I would shake things up in a major way and get the park churning again with people, and most of all, MONEY!
