If you haven't been to the Wild Safari Drive Thru recently this is the year to go!  Thanks to an end-to-end pavement project and the addition of a very entertaining new audio narration, the safari seems to be breathing new life and that's even without the help of all the park's great animals.  The roadway is now perfectly paved and although two wide lanes instead of three narrow ones, this is probably the closest we will get to experience the park 1974 style (oversized vinyl top roof car without air-conditioning aside!).

Check out the new look in the photo below!

Many new directional signs have been added to the main entrance roadway.  With the Safari toll plaza accessible from the main roadway once again, guests can now travel straight ahead to the Safari rather than zigzag to the Hurricane Harbor toll plazas like in 2020 and 2021.

The entire Safari has been repaved!
A new tower rises at the water treatment facility.

I've never seen the Safari look this good!

Looks like the Soarin' Eagle zip line ride is gone.

A new animal shelter is being built to replace the one damaged by fire last season.

A couple of security monitoring trailers are now in the Safari.

The entrance and exit pathways from inside the theme park for the Safari trucks are now paved.  Last year these roads were used for guests to access the Xpedition Dino displays.

The newly painted and renamed Medusa really shines.

Finally!  New clearly marked exit signs!
