Christmas is fast approaching and Sunday was the coldest day at the park so far this season.  In addition to all the festivities of Holiday in the Park, the almost annual Pin Palooza event was also held giving members the opportunity to complete their collection of lapel pins which they may have missed in the past.  Cool temps and blustery winds toyed with several of the rides bringing temporary closure to their operations.  Even so, there was plenty of Christmas cheer in the air and some new things to see as the park heads into the winter months.  Here are some photos from around the park.

Pin Palooza was popular with a long line forming soon after park opening.  100% of the proceeds benefitted local college scholarship foundations.

The Jolly Light Show with its accompanying Christmas tunes is located in front of Santa's house.

Cyborg Cyber Spin did not open this Holiday in the Park season as some off-season maintenance work is performed.

Batman The Ride is in the process of being repainted with black supports and a deep yellow track scheme.

Survey markings can be found around the Jr.Thrillseekers kids area.

Mama Flora's has been renamed Cajun Holiday this year.
Mobile camera towers have been added in a couple of spots around the park.
Survey markings can also be found near the bandstand by the fountain.
The Candy Apples shop has been totally gutted.
New asphalt has replaced the concrete walkway from the Joker to behind the four tents.

Yum Yum Cafe has reopened with new flooring.  Now lets brighten up the colors inside like the good old days! For some reason this area seems much more sparse.  Maybe its because all the leaves are gone.
