  1. Odd. For me it only asked about my season pass/number in party/ and the time slot. Then it sent me a confirmation for the arrival time but no charge. It even said $0 on the website which I thought was odd and I tried going back a few steps to find where the guest would be charged. Guess I'll try again today.
  2. Sorry to double post, but I had a quick question. When I registered for the safari, it didn't give me an option to pay for my guest. Is this handled at the park?
  3. Great American Scream Machine. The top half is from one of the loops before they were beefed up in it's early years.
  4. That's why I'm thinking they're going to take a hit next year. I'm not renewing my season pass next year for the first time in a long time since this year is completely waste of money and I've been going less to begin with. Maybe I'll go once next spring if they do indeed give us a couple months back for our season pass. We'd all be asking for refunds if they started allowing it.
  5. From someone who works in construction, I would guess: 1. As noted above, cranes we're probably sent back and need to arrive back on site. Typically equipment carries a monthly rental cost and the downtime would have been lost money. 2. Many jobs recently have what's referred to as a "week 0" where the focus is just getting things back in place to resume where they left off. 3. Reorganizing the crew which could have been all over the place during the downtime.
  6. This sounds like a mess. Try again next year I suppose (If we do indeed get to carry season passes over for a couple months into the next year). In all fairness, it's the best that they could possibly do.
  7. Doesn't sound like I'll be at the park this year, but it's probably impossible to get a refund. It's not the parks fault and there's no easy way to handle these things. But between this and the loose articles policies, unfortunately it just keeps getting harder to enjoy a day at the park. I'm assuming I'd have to waste a vacation day at work just to find a reservation day open (During a time when anybody is lucky to have work period).
  8. Stupid question, but I can't find a clear answer anywhere about the Safari open months. Am I correct in assuming it is already closed for the season?
  9. Going to fright fest tonight as I have to renew my season pass. What is the latest I can show up and get in, anybody know for sure? Probably going to get there around 7:30 - 8. Was hoping to use the friend pass as well.
  10. It's just ridiculous when you purposely bring buttoned/ zippered shorts to avoid this and be responsible, but you still get hammered. Also it has to be rough for the workers dealing with the angry mobs forming outside each ride line.
  11. Jokers line was cut in half today by turning away every single rider. I get the business strategy of charging for lockers but it's getting insane.
  12. A good dive coaster takes a lot of work as well. For example, sheikra was awesome because of the extensive scenery. However, Valravn at cedar point was disappointing and a waste of time waiting in line for compared to a lot of the other rides.
  13. I'd prefer our B&M's stay like they are and we refrain from adding another for a while. They're all pretty good but we don't need rides like a dive machine or a wingrider as they don't add anything to the coaster collection. After flats being added to round out the park, I'd really love to see an rmc or a bliyz coaster at some point.
  14. Ok idk if anybody mentioned it, but what's happening to the justice league gift shop? Are they just going to have 2 hall of Justice buildings or change it up a bit I wonder.
  15. Whether or not it's the best dark ride, it is a really good addition. Though I can't help but feel it's going to be disappointing a few years down the road when nothing is working like on the dark knight.
  16. I have to lost a revue of my day. Not a bad day, but could have been a lot better.I'll just say that Maverick was one of the best, well rounded coasters I have ever been on.
  17. Alright so I'll be there Saturday and the weather is supposed to be amazing. That could be good for the day but bad for lines. Either way, I've heard it's best to start from the back. Anybody have an idea for a ride path I should follow?
  18. I wouldn't doubt that at some point in the future flats are added to the area to bring more of a DC coherence. Something like Over Texas's flat package with the same DC names. Honestly, JLBFM is a great addition whether I personally care for the ride or not. It would have a lot of potential if they polished it up a bit compared to the others, but most park visitors won't really care so it wouldn't be necessary.
  19. I plan on being there from the minute it opens to the minute it closes so hopefully at night there will be time to take advantage of shorter lines. Edit: Wow Cedar Point is open until 12:00.
  20. I'm planning a trip to cedar point (Haven't been there since I was a kid) for the first weekend in August. I can only imagine that the park will be very crowded on the Saturday that I plan on going. Due to time constraints, it looks like my group can only go for one day rather than 2. If we were to follow the method of working our way from the back of the park to the front, is it likely that we can hit each major coaster once? I'm planning to book a hotel tomorrow so I was curious to get opinions from a few others who may have went. I know that wait timesbchange depending on days and weather b
  21. I rode it during fright fest down in Texas, but the line wasn't too bad. It just felt like I had no idea what was going on during the ride and whether I was actually hitting targets or not. In all fairness, it could be that I've ridden better dark ride shooters and that it alters my opinion of this one.
  22. For a non coaster related edition, I'd love to see some of the thrilling flats like Over Texas received. Justice league would be great for the park, even though it's not that great of a dark ride (Personal opinion only).
  23. Joker was a pleasant surprise, though it unfortunately only flipped twice for me. While it was thrilling and better than expected, my one statement still stands that I wish it was longer.
